Foreclosure Search by County
County Search
A County search is the most common foreclosure search because it provides a nice balance of quantity and quality. With over 3,000 Counties nationwide, there is a good chance you will find a foreclosed property that meets your needs. A County search is also ideal for pre-foreclosures, because it is typically the County that records all pre-foreclosure activity including Notice of Defaults, Lis Pendens and Notice of Trustee Sales (Auctions).

Find homes and land available in your County, from local, state and federal government institutions such as VA, HUD, FHA and others. Banks that are repossessing real estate due to the subprime mortgage crisis will also own properties called Real Estate Owned (REO), and are selling these homes at discounted prices. These banks may also accept a Short Sale, which is a home sale that is less than the value of the original mortgage.
